Counseling, as defined by Webster, is professional guidance in resolving personal conflicts and emotional problems. That about sums it up, right? Well, not completely but it is a start. We see counseling as a relationship between the therapist and client to help navigate life. If you would like to talk more about this, we are here to listen. Do you need help navigating through personal, marriage, pre-marital, families, business, career, child, adolescent, adulthood, college, grief or so many other things? Let’s chat. Life is done in a community so we are here to help be part of your supportive community. Counseling is a tool to help you with where you are today and give you some tools to navigate life.
We provide Christian Counseling in which, we believe, provides a compassionate environment for those that need support. Compassion is defined as a “consciousness of others’ distress together with a desire to alleviate it.” Although I feel this is a great description, I lean more on the compassion that Jesus showed his followers. We can find many examples of counseling and compassion throughout the Bible which provides a strong base for our sessions. No matter where you are or what you believe we can help you navigate the waters of life, even if they are currently a crashing wave.
