Dawn is a Master’s level professional counselor, under supervision and pursuing licensure in Georgia. She recently graduated from Liberty University with a Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling. Her clinical experience includes individual, family, and group counseling for adolescents and adults of all ages. After all it is never too late. Dawn’s specialty areas include: anxiety, depression, anger, behavioral disorders, addictive behaviors, grief and bereavement, trauma, crisis, mindfulness, assertiveness, career and goal planning, and conflict management. Dawn’s practices from an eclectic approach, meaning, she utilizes concepts from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Behavioral Interventions and Attachment theories to name a few. Dawn believes that the path to healthier living requires a partnership between counselor and client. Through evidenced-based theories, it is not uncommon for homework to be given in an effort to assist her clients in achieving their potentials.
Dawn has a specialist certification in Maternal Mental Health. She is trained in helping families with perinatal, postpartum and maternal mental health.
Dawn is a Christian counselor who values the opportunity to practice in a faith based setting for clients who wish to incorporate it into their treatment plan. She and her family moved to the Savannah area from the northeast two-years ago and are excited to call the area their forever home. Dawn is described by many as down-to-earth and a people’s person. She meets her clients where they are at and guides them to where they long to be with her eclectic approach, support, encouragement, and a smile.
